Our registries

We have lived together for eight (that's right, 8!) years, so our house is mostly set up.

If you want to give us a gift, what we would really love is help with our our Kauai honeymoon. We have set up a page at Honeyfund.com, a website that lets our guests engage in creating an unforgettable experience.

Check out our honeymoon registry here: http://www.honeyfund.com/wedding/marisaydavid2012

We are also are registered at Macy's and Crate and Barrel. You can check out our registries by clicking the links below -- additionally, you can search for them using our full names, Marisa Lagos and David Downs.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING GIFTS TO THE WEDDING, as getting them through both Mexican and US customs could be a headache, and we don't have much room.

DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSPORT!!!

You need a US passport to travel to and from Mexico. It takes about 4-6 weeks, according to the US government, to secure a new passport AND to renew your old one (unless you pay a fee to expedite it, which is expensive).

If you have children under the age of 16, BOTH parents must be present when you apply for the passport. More info here.

You can find all the information on how to apply for a new passport or renew your expired passport here.

Where to stay

La Fonda is booked up! But don't worry, there are plenty of other nearby options. Here are a few; if you'd rather rent a house in Campo Lopez, feel free to email us (marisa.lagos@gmail.com) and we can try to find something for you!

--Poco Cielo is right next door to La Fonda and takes reservations online. Or, you can call them at (760)670-3336 (it's a U.S. number).

--House of Rainbows is also within walking distance. Tell them Jose from La Fonda sent you -- call them at (619) 822-1577 (it's a U.S. number) or email info@casarainbows.com.

--If you are driving down and want a bit more space, a kitchen or a pool, Pyramid Resort is a great option. It's a little too far to walk, so it's probably best to have your own car if you choose to stay here (though there are some cabs in the area). From the U.S., call (800) 721-2252 or (951)736-6032; or email susan@pyramidresort.com.
